Sept. 7, 2011 - PRLog -- Dan Wilson, Operations Manager at The Mill Hotel feels strongly about businesses supporting independent charities in their local area. 'We're big believers in sharing our success with our neighbours. The Bridge Project does such positive, excellent work in the community, which is why we'll be fundraising on their behalf, and allowing them to access our facilities free of charge, for the foreseeable future. This is going to be a long term relationship, and not just a one year deal.' explains Mr Wilson.

Both The Mill Hotel and The Bridge Project are involved in the catering trade, the latter having a fully functioning café on site, run by its students. 'We're supporting The Bridge Project because both of our organisations work in the catering industry, it is a natural link. This means that we can not only provide charitable donations, but give Bridge Project students access to a busy, high-performing commercial kitchen,' says Mr Wilson. Anesta Newson, Chief Executive at The Bridge Project, says 'We're delighted, it's just lovely to know that this is the beginning of what is going to be a long, mutually beneficial partnership.'

The Mill Hotel will be hosting a series of events throughout the coming months to raise funds for The Bridge Project. 'We'll be having themed, tribute acts, as well as regular quiz and raffle nights. We may try and get an Elvis as the first act! I've heard he's popular with the locals!' says Mr Wilson, smiling. Collection boxes will also be found at each bar, and on the hotel's reception desk.

'We really appreciate having the support of an established company in the catering trade. This offers a wealth of opportunities for our students, which they might not have had access to otherwise,' explains Anesta. 'The money raised will be used across the whole charity, so it can benefit as many as possible.'
