Sept. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Apricot Culotte Inc has put our name into the ring to win The SavvyMom Mom Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a readers' choice contest designed to find Canada's top Mom Entrepreneur. The top 10 vote recipients will be assessed by a panel of judges including mom entrepreneur experts and co-authors of Mom Inc. Danielle Botterell and Amy Ballon, award-winning humourist Kathy Buckworth and Victoria Sopik, founder of Kids & Company, a national chain of daycares, to choose the national winner who will be rewarded with a $15,000 prize that was designed to help take that business to the next level.

-   Emilie Sarkissian has two boys age 2 and 4 months. She started the company after the birth of her first son after wishing she could get her hands on European baby clothes. Being a savvy bargain shopper, she thought that selling pre-loved French clothes would be the best way to satisfy fashion needs without compromising parents’ wallets.

I am not sure if this idea was better than any other idea I had in the past, but for the first time I felt confident enough. I think having a baby had a lot to do with it.
