Get Ready for TBOX 2011, Festa's 16th Annual 12 Bars of Xmas Pub Crawl in Chicago

Sept. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- TBOX 2011, Festa’s 16th Annual 12 Bars of Xmas Pub Crawl, is getting ready to rock Wrigleyville once again on Saturday, December 10th, 2011, starting at 8AM, and going through closing time. Last year, the event had over 10,000 registered participants, and we expect an even more massive crowd for this year’s extravaganza.

What started out as a small and intimate tour of 12 bars in 1996 that Chicagoan Christopher Festa put together to celebrate Christmas with a few friends, has unofficially become the world’s largest pub crawl, and one of Chicago’s most famous – and infamous – holiday festivals.  TBOX has developed a cult following through the years, has been called “Wildly Popular” by the Chicago Red Eye Newspaper, and draws partiers from all around Chicagoland as well as 40 states and over a dozen countries.  TBOX starts at the insanely early time of 8AM, and goes through Closing Time – over 19 hours. It encompasses almost every bar in the six block area of Wrigleyville Chicago, with 36 bars reserving their establishments for the event during the day. People dress in elaborate holiday costumes to go with the Christmas theme, and this year’s theme-within-a-theme, “Camp TBOX” – Summer Camp in Winter.  

The craziness also encompasses the distribution and collection of over 120,000 stickers throughout the day and over 20,000 boxes of cereal.  To understand the cereal – and the cereal shots people do all day – you just have to be there! TBOX has truly turned into a destination event.

Festa Parties is also thrilled to announce that for the ninth year, Miller Lite will be TBOX’s lead sponsor with each participating bar featuring specials on Miller Lite all day. TBOX also welcomes Jagermeister as our new spirits sponsor, and Jager specials will also be featured at the event all day.  And for out-of-town and suburban guests, the Hyatt Regency Chicago is the official hotel partner of TBOX2011, reserving a block of rooms with a special rate for TBOX participants.
