BEP Systems Selected to Deliver Information Governance at Wales & West Utilities

Sept. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Wales & West Utilities (WWU), the regulated gas distribution business covering Wales and the South West of England, has selected the leading information management specialist BEP Systems to provide business analysis and governance support to help ensure the successful implementation of the organisation’s new Enterprise Content Management system from Open Text.

BEP’s team will produce new policies and procedures for Information and Records Management, covering practices for the handling of WWU’s physical and electronic information throughout its entire lifecycle from creation to disposal.

A key deliverable is the design of a Business Classification Scheme, identifying WWU’s business activities and supporting records, arranging these into a file plan that includes business rules for access control, metadata templates and records retention. This is being used for the configuration of the Open Text ECM solution.

As part of the selection process BEP has become a registered utilities sector supplier with Achilles.
