The online retailing giant has submitted a proposal for opening six distribution centers employing about 7,000 Californians. But in exchange, Amazon has requested to be reprieved from the new Internet sales tax law until 2014. This is because of Amazons' scrambling with state governments around the country over the collection of sales taxes.

Companies usually have been criticizing on California's burdensome regulations which making it difficult to expand or hire. New offers counterfeited by democrats and business leaders hope to modify that.

With unemployment rate still stuck at 11.8 percent, there is not much time to waste. But will these 7,000 new jobs bring a change in the unemployment scenario?
