Tutor Bungalow Expands Nationwide, Disrupting Traditional Home Tutoring Agencies

Sept. 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Launched in February 2011, Tutor Bungalow offers a fresh look at what current tutoring agencies are doing right, and what they are doing wrong.  "I want to change the way students and tutors connect," says Michael Treidl, the founder of Tutor Bungalow "After working as a tutor for many years, I became frustrated with the mark up tutoring agencies were charging students.  I realized this mark up was a necessity resulting from an inefficient business model; Typical tutoring agencies have large overhead and administrative costs that force them to charge the student more and pay the tutor less.  By creating a free online marketplace, Tutor Bungalow removes those costs and saves everybody a lot of money."

Originally Tutor Bungalow was started as a side project but after overwhelming demand from both students and tutors, it was decided to expand nationwide.  Tutor Bungalow has grown to over 4,000 tutor members and counting.  Although the company is currently focusing on the top 10 most populated U.S. cities, it is open to all 50 states.
