center, recently unveiled comprehensive package pricing for weddings, and is
offering additional discounts and incentives for select wedding dates in 2011.

Rivermill partner Michelle Clancy, has already seen firsthand the early
reaction to the package pricing.

“It’s common for couples to be a little confused and overwhelmed when
we meet them, especially if they’ve been looking for a while and haven’t
been able to make all of the pieces come together. In those instances, the
packages take something that can be really complicated and make it very
simple, but without compromising on quality.”

Rivermill, which opened earlier in 2011, has made an immediate splash on
the region’s wedding and event scene, booking weddings and corporate
events at an extraordinary pace, and also showcasing the artfully restored,
downtown mill space with concerts featuring an eclectic mix of performers
not commonly seen on the Seacoast. The package pricing for wedding
events is yet another example of the dynamic ownership group’s early
response to providing the flexibility they feel their clients want.

“It’s a terrific idea, and it makes perfect sense,” acknowledges Seacoast
Catering’s Emil Uliano, one of the select handful of local vendors who have
been tapped to joined forces with Rivermill. “On the one hand, this is a great
way to show people what Dover and the New Hampshire seacoast region has
to offer, and really puts Dover’s best foot forward. At the same time, it gives
couples the chance to work with some of the area’s best vendors at a very
competitive price.”

Uliano’s reference to “the area’s best vendors” is no exaggeration. In
addition to Seacoast Catering, Rivermill has teamed up with renowned florist
Kate Parker of Kate Parker Flowers, the award-winning confectioners at Wild
Orchid Baking Company, DJs Scott Langlois, Nate Downs and Ryan Parker,
and a host of other well-respected names in the industry. The end result, for
many brides-to-be, is a dream come true: an affordable, yet elegant event
that includes everything from valet parking to custom floral arrangements,
and that bears the signature trendiness and sophistication of the most

To help promote both the facility and the new package pricing, Rivermill has
also announced special pricing for select dates in 2011, including November
19th, December 3rd and December 10th.

According to Britt Schuman, another member of the Rivermill partnership
team, these competitively priced event packages are intended to be a win for

“While bookings come fast and furious during the warm-weather months, in
New England, the market for wintertime bookings is a bit slower, and most
wedding-related businesses see a drop-off. Whether you’re a caterer or a
florist, a DJ or a cake maker, there simply aren’t as many events going on in
February as there are in June or September. The idea behind the package
pricing was to band together with some of our preferred vendors to make the
off-peak dates more attractive to potential brides.”

“We obviously did this to fill the dates, but we also did it to catch the
attention of the couple who likes the idea of a winter wedding, or who may
be feeling as though their budget is preventing them from having the event
they’ve envisioned,” adds Clancy. “If this helps some clients get what they
want, and creates additional business for Rivermill and our partners, there’s
no downside.”

Thus far, the offerings have clearly been well-received, as Rivermill has
already booked several dates with the attractive and user-friendly package
pricing.

"I've planned and coordinated a lot of wedding in the seacoast area," says
Parker, "and when you're able to choose from such high-quality vendors,
your planning experience becomes easier and you can really enjoy the
process."

Time will tell, but the early indications are that Rivermill, along with the
