Southlake Energy Gives Back

Aug. 31, 2011 - PRLog -- "I am so blessed to work with people and organizations in need. Giving back to our community is extremely vital and very rewarding" said Jennifer Pendarvis, Executive VP Charitable Events.

In a recent Fajita Supper and Silent Auction event benefiting Meals on Wheels, the Weatherford Senior Center was packed with people enjoying good food and the silent auction. According to Jane B. Bronkie, Center Events Coordinator; “the Silent Auction far exceeded our expectations due, in large part, to the generosity of the local businesses and the quality of merchandise offered.”

The mission of the Parker County Committee on Aging is to identify and assess the needs of the frail, homebound elderly of Parker County and to provide the services they need to live out their lives with dignity in the safety and comfort of their homes. The organization's active Senior Center serves persons aged 60 and over with nutritional, educational, recreational and social programs. Southlake Energy helps by donating time and energy towards the Parker County meals on wheels efforts.
