By: Grier Cooper Cooper formed Terpsichore D'Amour with co-director Mymuna Damore as a means to make dance more accessible to the public through free public performances, lectures and workshops. The company will make their world debut Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Lake Tahoe at Trails and Vistas, a live performance and installation art hike. Cooper has been dancing for almost 40 years and has appeared worldwide with companies such as San Francisco Ballet, Miami City Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She currently writes about dance for children and adults. Damore is a healer, energy transmitter, and mystic pole dance performer. She holds a BFA in theater and was internationally trained in martial arts. The two dancers met five years ago as teachers at their children's preschool and realized they had much in common besides motherhood... namely the love of dance. That love of dance brought Cooper to her career as a dancer and is what continues to keep her there, regardless of age.
