Northeastern Alumni Launch Boston Student Arts Network
Launch of the Boston Student Arts Network will provide professional resources for students pursuing careers in the arts and entertainment industries including music, film, fashion, photography, theater and visual arts.
The Boston Student Arts Network (BSAN) was created this year by 2011 Northeastern University graduates, after suffering the frustrations of finding fellow students to work with. Founder/Director, Kelly Soule, describes ”As a film major, I always found it difficult to find talent to perform in my productions. I felt there should be a universal place for students interested in the arts to come together and collaborate. Actors could meet filmmakers, models could meet photographers, musicians could meet sound engineers etc, so that at the end of the day everyone was benefitting with something they could add to their portfolio. The possibilities for collaboration are endless.” Whether music, film, fashion, photography, theater, or visual arts, BSAN supports students of all interests. In addition to connecting students with their colleagues, BSAN strives integrate them into their professional industries. They provide students with weekly job alerts with new internship and cast/crew opportunities, and additionally coordinate networking mixers with a variety of professional Boston arts groups.
BSAN is open to all college students and is free to join. To join and for more information, please visit www.bostonstudentrarts.org
