Aug. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- August 29, 2011 - Protective Countermeasures today announced the formation of a new program called “Hurricane Evaluation and Lessons Learned”.
The new program, developed by Protective Countermeasures is designed to conduct and moderate your teams meetings on lessons learned from Hurricane Irene and other crisis faced by your organization. In the past week alone there have been two episodes from which to learn lessons; the Virginia earthquake and Hurricane Irene.
Conducting an effective team meeting identifies some key questions that need to be asked. What was right with what you did? What was wrong?  Did your ideas work, and most importantly which areas need improvement. During the meeting, your team is prompted by the moderator on ten (10) specific key areas to assist in driving a conversation and identifying those valuable lessons.
“Organizations are reluctant to develop proper continuity of operations plans except where mandated by statute. The time needed and costs can be exorbitant. Utilizing lessons learned meetings from each event, while not a preferred planning method should be utilized at the very least”, said Mr. Sal Lifrieri, President of Protective Countermeasures Inc. A few short meetings are all that is needed.
