Cornerstone Chem-Dry is Cleaning Carpets, Tile and Upholstery throughout DFW for a Cause

Sept. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Chem-Dry has committed a $25,000 donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in support of providing programs that give thousands of women help for today and hope for tomorrow. Cornerstone Chem-Dry recognizes that millions of people are impacted by breast cancer each year and the donation will help promote early detection and provide free mammograms to women in need.
   
All across the nation, Chem-Dry franchisees are joining the fight against breast cancer because the disease also has affected them. Cornerstone Chem-Dry is a partner for this national 2011 Cleaning for the Cause program.

Erika Herman, owner of Cornerstone Chem-Dry , has had several family members affected by breast cancer.  She lost her aunt 11 years ago and her grandmother 8 years ago.  Another aunt also fought the battle and today is cancer free.  Erika’s grandmother, Elsie Gress of Yakima, WA fought breast cancer numerous times – she showed Erika her strength by not only fighting but being strong to the end. “Grandma would leave chemo treatments and head straight to one of my cousin’s football or baseball games,” says Erika.  It is this type of resilience that makes Cornerstone Chem-Dry want to fight so hard to finally beat this terrible disease. As a company, Cornerstone Chem-Dry will be donating a total of $5 per can of spot remover sold!  “We are very excited about this PINK opportunity and look forward to seeing how much we can raise through the end of October”, says Mrs. Herman.
