Dr. Saundra Elaine Montgomery Speaking at U-WIN Summit

Aug. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, TX August 25, 2011:  Dr. Saundra Elaine Montgomery has been inspiring and empowering women and teen girls on issues of vision and purpose for over 25 years. She travels extensively, addressing audiences from 30 to 15,000 on topics including, “Leadership,” and “Self Worth”. She is one of the most as been recognized and commended for services rendered by local, state and national officials and community partners in the state of Texas.

Her popular book, “Gracefully Made,” receiving recognition from numerous sources including Woman To Woman Magazine, Gracefully Made and Gospel Truth Book Reviews.

Her commitment to the community is evident through U-WIN has touched the lives of over one million women in its 25 year history. U-WIN is a 501 c (3) organization headquartered in Houston, Texas. U-WIN is a woman’s support system, with over 80 individual cell groups that meet throughout Houston in women’s transitional facilities, nursing homes, and many other outlets.  Dr. Montgomery’s charities include The Butterfly Project (Children with Cancer), Sisters Network (Women Cancer Awareness Group) and AIDS Foundation of Houston.

Dr. Montgomery and her husband, Dr. Ed Montgomery (Founder and Pastor of the 7000 member Abundant Life Cathedral Church – Houston). She has worked diligently by his side for 30 years. They live in Houston, Texas, and have two adult sons, Eddie and Simeon.  Their daughter, Angela passed away at the tender age of 14 after a long battle with cancer.
