Aug. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- (Baltimore, MD) Baltimore Net Radio (BNR) will pay tribute to one of the most ambitious, talented, and versatile performers in entertainment history, Bobby Darin.  Join Baltimore Net Radio as we celebrate the life and sensational career of the incomparable Bobby Darin...a true legend.  This special program will air for four consecutive weeks in two-hour segments, beginning on Monday, September 12th at 3pm NYT through Monday, October 3rd, with rebroadcasts as per the program schedule.  Tune in for this special tribute streaming from http://www.baltimorenetradio.com.

These four two-hour programs will chronicle Bobby Darin's brief 17 year career.  Listeners will not only enjoy Bobby's early hits from his rock and roll beginnings, but will experience the transition from his teen idol status to an adult audience acceptance.  Bobby Darin's music styles were constantly evolving and changing.  He was a man with a mission and was striving to do it all...and do it well.  You will experience what it was like to sit in on his show-stopping nightclub engagements; his ever changing moves into various musical genres; his film and television career;  his folk, country & western music; and his late 1960's protest music that was reflective of his thoughts on the turbulent aspects of modern society at that time.

In addition to numerous selections from Bobby Darin's extensive song catalog, interviews with key people in Bobby's life will be featured.  Bobby's long-time manager and close friend, Steve Blauner, will share his memories of what it was like to work with Bobby; Connie Francis, who was Bobby's sweetheart at the beginning of both of their early careers; Jimmy Scalia, the official Bobby Darin Archivist; Bobby's brother, Gary Walden; Billy McCubbin, bass player; Bob Rosario, conductor; Robin Adelman, contributor to the Bobby Darin Webteam; David Evanier, Biographer; Jeff Bleiel, Biographer; and America's premier broadcast interviewer, Larry King.
