Aug. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- CHICAGO—School will officially be back in session, but Chicago's outdoor street fest season continues on with a post-Labor Day party at Wells Street Fall Fest on Saturday and Sunday, September 10-11.

The 9th annual event, held in the Old Town neighborhood, features non-stop music on  two stages, the cuisine local restaurants, a wine tasting tent (see  below),  the wares of more than 50 artists  and a kids' play area.  

Located on Wells Street between North Avenue and Evergreen, hours are 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. on Saturday, and 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. on Sunday. A gate donation of  $5 benefits the Old Town Merchants & Residents Association.

►NEW/Just Announced! Galleria Liqueurs Wine Tent
•The acclaimed specialty fine wine, beer and spirits shop  with locations at 1559 N. Wells Street (and 3409 N. Southport) will have a wine tasting tent at Fall Fest.
•Wine tent hours are: Noon-8:00 p.m. on Saturday; 1:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
•Visitors will be able to sample more than 25 unique wines from leading global vineyards.
•Sampling price is $40 for 15 (fifteen) 1 oz. tastings and  a wine glass plus $15 for 5 (five) additional 1 oz. tastings.

Among the performers on Wells Street Fall Fest's two stages: acclaimed New York alt-rockers Marcy Playground; singer/songwriter Tyrone Wells; Missouri alt-rockers The Get Up Kids; and local blues/folk rocker Cathy Richardson & the Macrodots.  

Others include hard-working rock tribute band 7th Heaven; lauded guitarist/rockers the Kimi Hayes Band;  and the musically eclectic local ensemble that is Super Happy Fun Club.

Among the food/restaurant vendors:  Adobo Grill, Benchmark, Dinotto Ristorante, Fireplace Inn, Kamehachi, Kilwin's (chocolates & fudge), O'Brien's, Orso's and Trattoria Roma.
