Community Service Project Could Help Win Louisville Free Gas

Aug. 24, 2011 - PRLog -- WHAT:   Jason Falls of Louisville, Kentucky is one of eight contestants competing in the Ford EcoBoost™ Gas Challenge for a grand prize of free gas from Ford and Shell.  The contest involves a voting competition on Facebook, wherein Jason will need the help of the Louisville community to vote him up into 1st place. Meanwhile he'll be driving a Ford F-150 truck, attempting to record the highest MPG in five days of real-world fuel economy competition. The final day of the contest, Saturday, August 27, will include a community service project where the contestants will be judged based on how many local residents they get to participate in the event.

Jason has chosen to partner with Olmstead Parks to do a park clean up, and needs help from Louisville. He will be awarded points for the number of volunteers he has in attendance. Additionally, if Jason wins, Shell will provide free regular-grade gasoline (up to 15 gallons per vehicle) at two local stations in Louisville for two hours and 22 minutes – in honor of the 22 miles per gallon the Ford F-150 EcoBoost™ delivers on the highway.

With gas prices still sky high, local residents will have the opportunity to not only give back to the community, but also win free gas for residents of Louisville.
