She never would have imagined that after 29years of her life that she would still be here

Aug. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- British-Jamaican singer Ni-cola anticipates the release of her second studio album “LOVE OUT LOUD” The acclaimed Rnb/pop album which features singles “Breakthrough” and “After the rain"  featuring British-Nigerian artist Tunday and Guvna B is released in digital format on September 9th.

Ni-cola has slowly established herself within the underground circuit as more than a regular artist but a multi talented artist who writes music for the soul. The Manchester based artist made herself known last year via numerous tours in the UK, USA and Germany.

The album consists of 11 tracks infusing the genre of soul, rnb, funky house and dancehall coated with meaningful lyrics that illustrate topics such as relationships, love, pain and joy whilst taking you on a journey from start to finish. This album will have you both dancing on the floor and swaying side to side. Fuelled with unforgettable songs such as “ENDLESS LOVE” which eloquently describes the love that people share beyond that of being lovers. Not withstanding the poinant cover of the powerful song made famous by CeCe winans “Alabaster Box” now rearranged to create a 21st century sound.

When asked how she would like her fans to react to her new music Ni-cola said. “I really want people to listen to every song on my album and know that I understand all the hurdles and challenges that they face in today’s modern society. For them to know they are loved dearly beyond what they wear or how they look but because they are unique just the way they are”

Surprisingly Ni-cola describes her song writing gifts as coming from more than just her life experiences but her personal relationship with Jesus Christ. When asked how do you handle being in the limelight and making such statements as above. She subtly replies “well if Beyonce can pose half naked, it surely shouldn’t be a crime for me to mention that I believe in Jesus Christ”

With signature vocals and great production  the album is set to make Ni-cola a household name among lovers of music, with a meaning to those particularly wishing to relive the age when music was about real life instead of the vices of popular culture.

Ni-Cola had faced many a hard time but always remembers where she has come from. Ni-Cola’s musical journey began from an early age. Ni-Cola’s first solo, she recalls was at a cousins christening party where she repeatedly sang the hook of a well-known pop song, keeping guests well entertained. However she later lost her mum it was in the midst of the grieving process she was encouraged to write a song, which later became her first release entitled “Still Here” in 2005. The song shares her story on how she struggled with grief, fear and even suicide. Ni-Cola could never have imagined that her musical career would have come out of such devastating circumstances. Ni-Cola then went on to complete a Performing Arts degree at the University of Salford, whilst pursuing her music career and believes this has enhanced her confidence and delivery of performance on stage. She now views herself as a role model whilst being the little lady with the big voice.
