Pop Labs, Inc. Hosts Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Program in October

Aug. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- HOUSTON, Texas – August 8, 2011 Pop Labs’ is working with the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) Systems to host a free self-defense class to women and children over the age of 13 in October.

The R.A.D. System helps individuals learn realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques starting with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and how to avoid the dangers around them. The course is held over a period of five days, where participants will learn how to defend and protect themselves during an attack using kicks, jabs, strikes and weapons.

According to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network, one out of six women in the United States has been the victim of rape or attempted rape in her lifetime and every two minutes, someone is sexually assaulted.

“I’ve taken the class and you will never regret it,” said Paige Camus, PA to Mr. Gene McCubbin, President of Pop Labs. “As a daughter of a law-enforcement family, after the first hour – I was speechless at what I learned.”
