Sabadell United Bank's Dwight Hill chairs American Red Cross Greater Miami & The Keys

Aug. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- MIAMI – Dwight L. Hill, executive vice president at Sabadell United Bank, has been named chairman of the American Red Cross Greater Miami & The Keys.

In his new capacity, he will chair the 94-year-old organization that provides disaster preparedness and relief, international services, health and safety education, and service to the armed forces. He has served on the 41-member board since 2008. In the year ended June 30, 2010, The American Red Cross Greater Miami & The Keys had a budget of $5.1 million.

His new position is the latest addition to a long record of community service. He is a director of CarrFour Supportive Housing and chair of its development committee; a board member of the Florida Bankers Association and past chairman of its Florida BankPac, and a director of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce.    

Hill has been Executive Vice President/ Sales and Marketing since 1999 for Sabadell United and has served since 1984 with Sabadell and its predecessor banks, Mellon United and United National Bank, including service as Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer.

He is a past board member of Leadership Miami; Leadership Florida; the Children’s Home Society, where served as chairman; the Palmer Trinity School Board of Trustees, where he chaired the personnel committee, and the Coral Reef Yacht Club.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Florida, where he majored in Economics. He lives in Pinecrest with his wife and three children.
