Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- A diversified line of natural and synthetic fiber mechanical packing products, designed for performance in harsh service environments, has been marketed by AGIS, LLC, manufacturer/distributor of high temperature sealing products.
          Among the packing products available are:

           NATURAL FIBERS:
          -Square plait braided flax, lubricated with tallow and wax. Non graphite. Typical uses: Rotary, reciprocating, centrifugal shafts. Service conditions: Acidity: pH range 5-9; temperature 200°F (93°C); pressure to 150 psi; shaft speed to 1900 FPM. (#180-MLF)
         -Square plait braided flax, impregnated with Teflon® and break-in lubricant. Typical uses: Rotary, reciprocating rams, shafts, plungers. Service conditions: Acidity: pH range 5-9; temperature 220°F (104°C); shaft speed to 1900 FPM. (#220-T)
        -Plied or cross-laminated white cotton duck, laminated with heat-resistant rubber to increase tensile strength and durability. Typical uses: heavy hydraulic service. Service conditions: temperature 250°F (120°C) or cured, 300°F (149°C); pressure to 500 psi. (#250-W)

       SYNTHETIC  FIBERS:
       -Braided; individual fibers coated with molybdenum; braided yarn coated again with molybdenum to improve lubrication at high temperatures. Non-graphite. Typical uses: Rotary, reciprocating, centrifugal pumps. Service conditions: Acidity: pH range 4-10; temperatures -155°F (-104°C) to 450°F (232°C);  pressure to 300 psi; shaft speed to 1900 FPM.          -Braided Kevlar®-type aramid filament yarn; individual strands lubricated with Teflon®  and inert oil. Typical uses: Reciprocating, rotary shafts. Service conditions: Acidity: pH range 3-11; temperatures -420°F (-216°C) to 500°F (260°C);  pressure to 5000 psi; shaft speed to 1900 FPM. (#500-K)
       -Teflon® fibers treated with special graphite compound, braided and coated with break-in oil. Typical use: paper mill stock pumps, agitators; other applications where graphite is suitable. Service conditions: Acidity: ph range 3-11; temperatures 500°F (260°C); shaft speed to 2100 FPM. (#500-TGK).
