Aug. 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Fluff Ice is proud to support the on-going community movement petitioning the cities of Alhambra and San Gabriel to collaborate to install LED button-activated pedestrian crossing signs at the intersection of New Avenue and Shorb Street. Also the petition requires the cities to replace outdated and ineffective reflectors and pedestrian warning signs at the intersection.

Named in her memory, "The Bo Feng Project" began after 17-year old Bo Feng was fatally struck by an unidentified driver on July 15 while crossing the intersection of New Avenue and Shorb Street. The recently graduated senior from Gabrielino High School was to attend San Diego State University in the fall.

The Bo Feng Project has two purposes:
1. To gather 500 valid signatures from the residents of Alhambra and San Gabriel.
2. To present the City Councils of Alhambra and San Gabriel with the petition and force them to make infrastructure changes to the intersection of New Avenue and Shorb Street.

The petition and a display explaining the movement has been set-up at Fluff Ice. Employees and managers will also be educating customers about the on-going movement.
