Diesel Power Products at Industrial Injection Dyno Day

Aug. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Last weekend, Diesel Power Products traveled to Industrial Injection in Salt Lake City, Utah, for their annual Dyno Day.  

For the extent of the week prior to the trip, Diesel Power Products focused on preparing their tow rig. New injectors were installed, along with Carli Suspension’s new 6” lift with King 2.5 Pin-Top shocks.  Diesel Power Products worked on the tow rig continuously until the minute they left for the event.

An overnight drive from Spokane, Washington, to Salt Lake City, Utah, led to DPP’s 5:30 am arrival.  After a few hours of sleep, Diesel Power Products headed to Industrial Injection and the 2011 Dyno Day headquarters.

Dyno Day was, as expected, incredible.  The event was teeming with custom trucks, along with expert mechanics and drivers.  Dyno Day was also abounding with fellow diesel-lovers, including friends from H&S Performance and Industrial Injection itself.  In attendance were also dedicated Diesel Power Products customers.

Off-Road Power Products sales manager Cooper Rasmussen put down 905 horsepower on fuel only.  On one run, one of the straps at the back of the truck came loose.  This caused the truck to lurch forward under the full load.  The fact that Rasmussen was 6 feet in the air on a mobile Dyno made the incident quite dangerous.  Rasmussen later relieved his tension by doing burnouts in front of Industrial Injection’s building.  

Towed from Diesel Power Products headquarters in Spokane was a ‘94 12-valve drag truck.  After making changes to the transmission, Diesel Power Products got 729 horsepower in Industrial Injection's Inertia Dyno.

Next weekend, Diesel Power Products will be attending Portland International Raceway for the last NHRDA Drag Race before the world finals.  DPP will have a booth next to Bully Dog, where all retail sales for the event will be handled.
