Aug. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Findings from the survey concluded that:

• 80% of men considered women to look more sophisticated and preferred women who wore sheer hosiery, due to the flawless finish airbrushed effect they had on transforming imperfect legs to perfect pins.

• Laddered tights were considered to be the biggest and most unattractive fashion disaster with 60% of men putting this as their number one dislike, followed by sweat marks and stickers left on the bottom of shoes.

The survey also found that:

• Kate Middleton, who is rarely seen without a pair of sheer tights when her legs are on show, topped the poll for the ‘Kate With The Best Legs’ with over 50% of both men and women agreeing that she had the best pins. Both men’s and women’s polls saw Katie Price come in at number 2, ahead of Kate Winslet, Kate Moss and Katie Perry.

• The survey concluded that the top three reasons for women wearing sheer tights were posh occasions, cooler weather and to even up skin tone after fake tan disasters. 67% of women (aged between 25-45) said they felt more ladylike when wearing sheer tights.
