Their shared philosophy was made clear when after a recent fundraiser benefitting the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, SweetWater Brewing Company’s founder and Big Kahuna, Freddy Bensch stated, “It’s inspiring to see the people come together to help save one of this city’s most precious natural resources. Which of course, we love because a clean Chattahoochee River gives us the clean water we need to keep making great beer!” The Charleston Pub Crawl founder, Marc Williams, said, “After hearing that from Mr. Bensch, we knew SweetWater was who we wanted as our presenting sponsor.” While celebrating Charleston’s right to clean water by raising awareness and money for The Charleston Waterkeeper, Participants of The Charleston Pub Crawl will receive steep discounts and samples of SweetWater Brewing Company beers such as SweetWater 420, Blue and IPA at more than 30 bars and restaurants, in historic downtown Charleston. To ensure responsible drinking, the restaurants will also be “selling” The Charleston Pub Crawl will also attempt to break the world’s record for largest pub crawl that will be recorded via ticket sales.
