IndianArtCollectors.com Encourages Young Talent

IndianArtCollectors.com, in association with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi, recently sponsored the Manjit Bawa Scholarship to Chandigarh-based budding artist Robin Singh.

Aug. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Every year, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi chooses the most promising art students and offer them motivation, as well as monetary support. In this sincere effort to encourage art, IndianArtCollectors.com too joined hands with the Akademi and sponsored Chandigarh-based art student Robin Singh.

Capturing the true essence of art, IndianArtCollectors.com offered this support, thereby freeing the artists creativity from all restrictions— monetary or otherwise. “No one really realizes that without any kind of motivation, what starts is a struggle. This leads to a reduced passion to perform. Since IndianArtCollectors.com was conceptualized to encourage and promote Indian contemporary art, it is indeed a pleasure for us to join hands with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi in sponsoring scholarships to deserving students,” shares Anuja Lath, Co-founder and CEO, IndianArtCollectors.com.

Currently completing his Masters from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh, Robin Singh paints with acrylic and oil on canvas. “This scholarship means a lot. These kinds of awards of encouragement motivate budding artists like me,” quips Robin.

Besides Robin, the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi gave scholarships to ten other deserving students, who were sponsored by various organizations. Besides monetary support, the works of these students would be regularly displayed across various exhibitions and galleries and also published in catalogs, which would be circulated world-wide.
