K-array Introduces Uncompromising Sound Quality and Extreme Portability for Musicians

The K-array KB1, First to Launch in the Blueline Family of Loudspeakers, is Lightweight and Incredibly Versatile

Aug. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Old Lyme, Conn. – August 17, 2011: Audio specialist Sennheiser announces the launch of the Blueline series of innovative loudspeakers from its distributed brand K-array. A versatile system designed to meet all the needs of the modern musician, the Blueline series features many of the benefits found in K-array’s professional RedLine series; most notably outstanding sound quality in an extremely small footprint.

The first product to be launched as part of the K-array Blueline series is the KB1: an ultra-slim, powered line-array system featuring a 12” sub-woofer and eight 3” drivers. Weighing in at just 44lbs. and featuring a sleek carrying case, the plug-and-play KB1 is perfectly suited for bands, solo musicians, DJs, presenters and anyone else seeking the ultimate in portability and great sound.

Massive Sonic Benefits in a Small Footprint
Like other groundbreaking products within K-array’s professional-oriented Redline series, the KB1 boasts attractive features and benefits that establish it as a best in class loudspeaker for discriminating musicians:

- Ease of Use: With quick set-up, standard connections and easy straightforward controls, the KB1 is plug-and-play right out of the box.  Or, for advanced control and customization of system, users can conveniently connect a PC via integrated USB connector.

- Versatility: The KB1 is extremely adaptable and can be used as amplification for solo artists, as monitors, or as a main stereo PA for a live event simply by adding a second system.

- Uniformity of sound dispersion: The KB1 emits a sound pressure level (SPL), which remains constant, even at a distance, covering the listening area with great precision and uniformity.

- Sonic flexibility: By using the K-array presets or by creating new ones, users can tailor their system for a specific use. The KB1 also features on-board digital processors and a digital four input mixer so users can modify input levels, EQ parameters, add multi-effects, and compress and regulate output channels.

An Honest System, Packed with Features
PC Bryant, a blues, jazz and R&B guitarist who has played with Ben E King, Sidney Youngblood and others, tested the KB1 at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt, Germany last March: “It was very clear with lots of power in the front,” he commented. “The speaker has a well-balanced sound with highs, mids, lows - everything. Above all I appreciated the feeling that this is an honest system, despite the potential to mix the sound. I could just sing, and with the KB1 what I sing is what you get.”

With the KB1, K-array has created a flexible system complete with many of the features typically found in a larger, professional audio solution. For example, users are able to adjust the vertical height of the sound with great precision. Also, as with other K-array products, the KB1 is constructed using only the finest professional-grade materials such as wood, steel and aluminum. A padded cover is included, making it easier to transport and protect when not in use.
