2ND STORY

Storytelling. It lives as a cultural idiom, an historical record, and as Live Entertainment. 2nd Story is a hybrid performance event combining storytelling and music. This collaboration will take place at the historical, beautiful Wilmette Theatre. This event entitled "Life Lessons" will focus on education and those who teach us. A typical 2nd Storyevening goes something like this: you hang out with your friends. Three or four times during the night, the lights go down, a spotlight comes up on somebody—maybe the person sitting next to you!—and they tell you a story. It's a great time, and our hope is that if we do our job right, you'll leave telling your own stories.

Tell us your story! Share your story for the chance to have it read by a 2nd Story storyteller at the Wilmette Theatre’s 2nd Story Event. There will be one winner and two runner ups. To be considered, please make sure yourstory is 350 words or less, includes a title, is told in the first person, is a true story, has a plot and has an educational theme! Please email your submission to wilmettecontest@2ndstory.com. Please include first/ last name, email address and/ or phone number and your story in the email. The Wilmette Theatre and 2nd Story will not share your information! Deadline is Thursday October 6th at Midnight.
