Halo Effect Come Back Show At Newport Music Hall: Featuring Curse Icon & Halo Effect

Aug. 18, 2011 - PRLog -- Columbus, OH - A stellar lineup of the some of the most popular names in local rock will take the Newport stage to welcome back Central Ohio favorites Halo Effect.

Curse Icon will co-headline the return of Halo Effect, who will perform for the first time in 10 months in honor of their late bass player John Taulbee. They have also brought back Hansel Henry as drummer.

Halo Effect posted on their blog earlier this month: “This show (of course) will be 100% for John. It will be dedicated to him and we will be on stage in honor of him. His music and love for the band will forever carry on through Halo Effect. We are honored to be able to take the stage in memory of him. Halo Effect has been playing shows for a long time now and this is our biggest gap between shows. It is nothing about us finally getting back on stage. It is all about doing this for John. We were supposed to play the Newport the week of his passing. And we only saw it fit for our next show to be played there also.”

Enjoying the well-deserved and growing buzz surrounding Halo Effect’s triumphant return, the band will have no problem jumping back in and raising the bar for live and local performances! The Halo Effect comeback show at The Newport will take place on September 10, 2011 from 6:30pm - 11:30pm. The full line up has yet to be announced but will include Pittsburgh alt rockers Identity X and local metal groove 5 piece, Suspect Earth.
