JTG Consulting is going to Shine

Aug. 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Statistics say that more than one in three people will get cancer at some point in their life. “Therefore, it is vital that we help support Cancer Research UK to continue with their great work” says Johan Gericke, manager at JTG Consulting. Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading charity dedicated to saving lives through research, have saved millions of lives discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Cancer survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years and the overall cancer death rate has fallen by nine percent over the last decade (www.cancerresearch.org).

On 1 October 2011, Bianca Feiereis at JTG Consulting will take part at the Cancer Research UK’s night time walking marathon. This year’s Shine marathon is hosted in Glasgow, Manchester and London. The charity hopes to raise over four million pounds from Shine 2011. Bianca at JTG Consulting will walk 13.1 miles at this unique fundraising event in order to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK. On 1 October, a trail of light will shine around London as a symbol of hope and the progress the charity has made in the fight against cancer (www.shine.cancerresearch.org).

Johan Gericke at JTG Consulting states: “Anyone could be diagnosed with cancer; therefore it is so important to us to support such a great cause, which is funded entirely by the public. The charity’s intense research has made such a big difference for many people’s lives.” JTG Consulting sponsors one of its employees to participate at Shine this year. Johan Gericke continues: “Bianca is very excited to participate at the event. She has started her training programme and has many ideas in order to raise funds for the charity.”

From next week, we will be placing cash boxes at our events in order to increase the donations towards Cancer Research UK” states Bianca Feiereis at JTG Consulting. The charity reports that more than a quarter of all UK cancer deaths are caused by smoking. JTG Consulting’s client E-Lites is the UK’s leading company for electronic cigarettes and is offering a healthier alternative to normal cigarettes. The burning of tobacco cigarettes, known as combustion, releases more than 4000 chemicals.  E-Lites do not contain tobacco and are not lit at all; they vaporise a nicotine solution and as a result do not release any tar or carbon monoxide.
