Royston Completes Engine Study on Safe Scandinavia

Aug. 16, 2011 - PRLog -- The company had been providing maintenance services for the diesel generators used in the offshore accommodation platforms operated by Prosafe SE.  Because of Royston’s diesel engine consulting expertise Prosafe asked the Newcastle-based company to undertake an emissions analysis of one of the Bergen RR 12-cylinder engines on the Safe Scandinavia platform. The detailed analysis was promptly performed by a team of three specialists who were able to identify an opportunity for improving the emissions quality of the engine in question. The subsequent modifications tuned the engine it to its optimum performance in readiness for the platform’s next oil company contracts.
