-- Quiet whispers in the hallways at UMD have turned into bonified rumors throughout the northern metropolis, but Minnesota native "Fokiss" has yet to confirm his alleged appearance in the Duluth area. It was speculated that UMD would host his performance sometime near the start of this fall's semester, but his name has yet to appear on the school's calendar. There were talks that the rapper would rock Grandma's, once again, however management declined to comment on the validity of such scuttlebutt. Would he make a familiar surprise appearance at the Clyde to compliment another epic event like a "Jungle Boy" fight? There's no intelligence to support the theory. Minnesota Public Radio has not made anything official, and there has been no rumble mentioning the dynamic artist on Duluth hit music radio. So why the buzz? Fokiss has become recently active after a short hiatus, and has been seen in various nightclubs throughout the Twin Cities, and in Duluth. His private ciphers and notorious battles have been at the center of large gatherings in VIP lounges nearby, and he called Duluth his "lost love" in a recent telephone radio interview. It has been suggested that Fokiss has been engaged in dialogue with several promoters and venues in the area, and the self proclaimed entrepreneur made reference to the city as his "hiding place" in a newly released single "Life's a Fight". There are, obviously, many factors leading to the chatter, and it is certainly interesting for us to hazard a guess, but it will come with no surprise when the "Weirdo" excites a Duluth area audience in the very near future.
