This engine generates up to 315-horsepower and 330 lb.-ft. of torque.  The TwinPower Turbo eliminates turbo lag thanks to variable valve timing, direct fuel injection, and BMW’s use of the latest TwinPower Turbo technology. BMW’s new front suspension design allows each ride to be customized to the rode.  The 7 Series allows the driver to match the driving mode (COMFORT, NORMAL, SPORT, and SPORT +) to the road conditions and to make the trip more enjoyable.

The BMW iDrive system controls information, entertainment and comfort features on a 10.25-inch, high-resolution display. The iDrive system allows access to radio, CD, telephone, and navigational features with four direct-entry buttons. Beyond these standard features the BMW iDrive system is able to access BMW Assist services in case of an emergency. The BMW Assist services include a variety of safety, security, and convenience services. For safety the BMW is equipped with innovative Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Active Blind Spot Detection.  The Active Cruise Control system comes with a new feature for 2012 – a Front Collision Warning System. With this system drivers are alerted if they are in danger of running into the back of a vehicle in front of them. Active Blind Spot Detection helps eliminate blind spots to avoid collisions while changing lanes.
