RISE UP Youth Empowerment returns with its monthly Girl Talk Lounge for teen girls ages 12yrs-18yrs to discuss topics which include: Bullying, Study habits, Cliques, School Involvement, Goal Setting, Dating, and many more.

Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- RISE UP Youth Empowerment Girl Talk Lounge returns for it's Back 2 School Edition on September 18, 2011 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm,  hosted by Salon 180 Beauty Lounge. This event is an interactive discussion on topics ranging from Love, Boys, Sex, Domestic Violence, Hygiene, Fashion, Makeup and more. Girl Talk Lounge is a fun environment which allows girls to express themselves openly and receive advice from a panel of professional and experienced women in the community. Most adolescent girls face unbelievable pressure on a daily basis, therefore Girl Talk Lounge is utilized as an outlet where girls feel comfortable to express themselves without fear or criticism. Melanie Charlton the owner of Salon 180 Beauty Lounge has offered her space where girls can come lounge,talk, eat and play games during this event.

The purpose of RISE UP Youth Empowerment is designed to inspire, empower, and cultivate young women through an innovative mentoring and workshop program which addresses the various areas of life and highlights the importance of self-esteem, personal values, academic excellence, community service, cultural awareness & Wellness. RISE UP is committed to helping young ladies discover their greatness.

Girl Talk Lounge has become popular among teen girls in the Los Angeles area, and they look forward to coming and expressing themselves openly and meeting other young ladies who face some of the same issues.

Rise Up was founded by Tracy Malbrough to inspire teen girls to Rise Up and build positive self esteem, develop leadership skills, commit to community service and achieve academic excellence through work shops and mentoring.
