NG Turf Donates Sod to UGA Griffin Campus

Donation of Sod Helps UGA Turf Team Maintenance Building

Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- North Georgia Turf donated two pallets of JaMur Zoysia to the University of Georgia Griffin Campus Turfgrass Maintenance Building last week. “The sod looks great and helps us around our maintenance building,” said Dr. Clint Waltz, Extension Turfgrass Scientist, who uses the building for equipment storage and turf team meetings.

The area around the maintenance building is slightly shaded in the morning, so JaMur was the natural choice. It is also very drought tolerant and easy to maintain. As with most zoysias, JaMur does not need a lot of fertilizer or water. It is a medium bladed zoysiagrass and can be mowed with a rotary mower.
