Unveiling Movie Soundtrack for En Busca del Sueño Americano (In Search of the American Dream)

Aug. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- HOUSTON — Adelante Productions will showcase the soundtrack the soon-to-be-released movie, En Busca del Sueño Americano (In Search of the American Dream) at a press conference, scheduled at 10 a.m. on August 16 at the Improv Comedy Club at off the Katy Freeway and Antoine.

“I felt that the cultural element of the music would be instrumental in bringing out the spirit of the film, enhancing it in such a way that would bring the viewers and listeners to reflect on their roots; after all, this movie is about chasing the “American Dream” and confronting the challenges life brings,” said the director and lead actor, Baldemar Rodriguez.

In Search of the American Dream tells the riveting story of a family who is torn apart and fights for survival as they travel across Texas escaping deportation and Child Protective Services (CPS) in order to live free together in the U.S.  

The soundtrack serves as the platform of the film’s theme, living the American dream.  The songs, El Sueño Americano and El Nacional will be performed live at the conference by some of the artists.  The movie’s trailer and a clip will also be shown during the conference.  Rodriguez and Executive Producer, Gregg Angel Rangel, along with co-writers and co-producers, Raymundo Reyes, Servando Ramos, and Randy Caballero collaborated to write and produce three of the film songs, El Nacional, El Sueño Americano and Bello Amor.

"There is vast amount of talent here in Texas, from singers to actors, to artists and dancers,” commented Rodriguez.  “I've been very fortunate to dip into the wonderful talent pool and work with some of Texas best artists.  Texas is a melting pot of diverse cultures and the use of such artists that represent different backgrounds, different nationalities, different languages and different points of view has been extremely instrumental in expressing the emotions behind our movie.  I am proud and honored to have had the opportunity to work with such talent that Texas has to offer."

There will be notable speakers at the press conference for both English and Spanish speakers, including: Baldemar Rodriguez, movie director and lead actor, Alfred Cervantes, Houston Film Commission Deputy Director, along with two musicians, Hector Romo and Raymundo Reyes.

Other attendants include: Shaina Sandoval, lead actress (English); Kayla Valadez, supporting actress (English), Roxanne Treviño, musician (English and Spanish), Leonor Follis, supporting actress (English and Spanish) and Jose Rios, Actor (Spanish).

The movie will be released in Houston next year.
