Brett Jolly says "Everybody Wants Me to Follow the Script"

Brett Jolly was the last known bass guitarist for the late Teddy Pendergrass.  He has also played for great artists such as Olivia Newton John, Bonnie Raitt, Bill Withers, Ashford and Simpson, Janet Jackson and Usher just to name a few.

Today Brett Jolly is set to release his second CD “Everybody Wants Me to Follow the Script”.  Single “Beyond” leads the way which is based on being beyond the years of knowing something significant existing in your life.  The theme is regarding a past relationship with a woman who has passed on and finding out later in life that you had a child with this woman.  It’s a ballad with less background.  This highlights the vocals and the lyrics and you are focused on that and that only.  It brings the message across, it is relatable, it is contemporary and definitely radio friendly.  

Brett Jolly’s songs tell a different tale and every song is told in its own special way, leaving his music creative, expressive, exciting and just wonderful to listen to.  Every sound that is delivered is felt by audiences.  He is by far the best R & B artist I’ve heard in a long time.  Another unique aspect is instrumentally; the bass is actually playing chords like a lead guitar.  It gives his music depth and creativity.  

Prior to this new upcoming CD which is officially being released on August 1st, Brett Jolly released “Bridges” which is another creative expression of his depth of character and talent.
