SEDALLA, MO, Aug. 11, 2011 – As sponsors of this year’s Missouri State Fair, the Midwest and St. Louis Ford Dealers are partnering with Missouri Farmers to host the Missouri Farmers Care Food Drive. The donations will benefit the Missouri Food Bank Association.

Missouri Ford dealers will accept canned food and nonperishable food items until August 15. For those who donate to the food drive, participating Missouri Ford dealers will provide coupons for a one dollar discounted entrance to the state fair.

“We are proud to offer this opportunity for the public to contribute to our local food bank. It’s a great cause that helps many people in need across the state,” said Tammie Nichols, Marketing Director of the Missouri State Fair.

The canned food drive will be held at the state fair on Tuesday, August 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ford will be collecting canned food and nonperishable food items in the back of the Ford vehicles at the Centennial Gate entrance and Gate 11 admission booth E.

In addition to the canned food drive promotions, the Midwest and St. Louis Ford Dealers will share an outdoor booth space near the Centennial Gate entrance for the duration of the fair.

The Missouri State Fair will take place in Sedalia, Missouri, August 11—21.
