Grand House Raffle in Aid of our Veterans

Aug. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- REDWOOD CITY, CA. August 7th, 2011 Did you know that according to the Dept of Veterans Affairs that on any given night there are at least 107,000 veterans who are homeless - imagine yourself homeless for just one night.

New Era Veterans Centers, http://www.neweraveteranscenter.com is a Californian Non Profit Corporation which was founded by veterans to help veterans. These founding veterans live with the aftermath of war or combat. New Era Veterans is helping one veteran at a time to restore their lives!

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) says the nation's homeless veterans are mostly single and come from poor disadvantaged communities. 45% suffer from mental illness and half have substance abuse problems. America's homeless veterans have served in World War II, Korean War, Cold War, Vietnam War, Gulf War/Desert Storm, Grenada, Panama, Lebanon, Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), Operation Iraqi Freedom. 47% of homeless veterans served during the Vietnam Era. More than 67% served our country for at least three years and 33% were stationed in a war zone.
A lot of us never think about the price that was paid by the veterans of our country!  While the wars continue in Iraq, Afghanistan and others abroad, community unrest, violence, and unemployment at home becomes more intensified, More of our soldiers are coming home wounded, physically or mentally, adding to the staggering number of heroes already suffering.
Therefore, it is extremely important for us to prepare and provide all the support and services we can for our returning Soldiers. We are Americans and together we stand! Support New Era Veterans Forgotten Warriors home raffle and support America.  The raffle starts Aug 1 and ends Dec 25th, 2011.  Tickets are $100 each but you can purchase as many as you like!  Enter our forgotten warrior's raffle - do your part and you may be the lucky one to win one of our dream homes!
