Aug. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- It started in 2007 when Milliea Taylor McKinney would pursue her dream of being a songwriter. And when Marsha Brown Of Brandon Hills Music and Jandar Records would crack open a window for the up and coming songwriting artist.
Milliea back then a teacher of creative writing and a passion to be published would submit her tribute to the legends of country "Honky Tonk Hall Of Fame" to be signed with Brandon Hills Music and Jandar Records. She then began to excel in her abilities and Marsha knew right away she had flair for words and a reputation for being a wordsmith. Marsha a songwriter herself and a Publisher and owner of Brandon Hills Music (BMI), LLC  which was established in 2005 by Marsha L. Brown and former business partner, Mike Heath d/b/a Heath Brown Music (ASCAP), and Steven Lynn Music (SESAC).
Together, they have a major label release with Universal Records artist Steff Nevers, album title is "Closest to my Heart", song title "Let it Rain" by Larry Migliore and Kevin Gallerallo.  Also Buddy Lewis recorded "Honky Tonk in Heaven" by Mike Heath and Bob Alexander released on Ozark Records.  Mike left the company in the summer of 2007.
Marsha has since had numerous releases, including:
"There You Are" on David Church’s album, "There You Are", June 2009. The song was written by Marsha Brown and Mike Heath.  David also recorded 2 more songs from Marsha’s catalogue:  "I Don’t Live in Lonely Anymore" by Mike Heath, and "Hang My Hat In Style" by David Wright.  There is also a music video in the works for the song "There You Are".
"Do You Like My Body", a fantastic pop song recorded by   Ginger-Ly, released on Raggaforce. Co-published with SEI Corp., Big Daddy   Music. Written by Nisa McCall.
"Out of the Blue", a great country song   recorded by Tarabeth Echols, Coyote Crude Band, released June 2009. Written by   Judy Klass and Rob Taube.
Marsha opened a new chapter in her life   with the start of a record label, Jandar Records, LLC.  Stephanie Anne's   song "When the Wind Blows Through " was releaed in Nov. 2009. She will be   signing  new male  Country artist Darren   Smedema. Darens vocals are incredibly smooth. Both he and Stephaine are   selecting songs for albums and will be in the studio very soon. Marsha is   currently negotiating with other artists.
Marsha is especially proud of her   "BATTLECRY" album which was released on her Jandar Record label of Nov. 2010.   The songs on the album  were written by veterans and are   very emotional, powerful songs that deal with Iraq, Afghanistan,   chaos, sacrifice, liberty, loss and hope. Ten percent of proceeds from this   album will go to Disabled Veteran's
Milliea would join forces with co-writer Renee Beach to write other   songs auditioning for the legends of country writing songs such as Talkin'   Bout Jr, Carved In Stone, Me Right Now, Legend VIP, Bar Room Affair, Gangster   Of Love, Green For Most My Life, and others that would also be signed with   Marsha's Brandon Hills Music and Jandar Records. Opening a new chapter to her   life as a co- publisher with Marsha and opening up her own business Milliea   would venture into Publishing with her own company M.I.A Publishing and   Conscious Music Entertainment a Talent Agency she formed to support positive   lyrical content for our youth which was inspired by Grammy artist Skyler Jett   who after touring 32 countries and traveling overseas replacing Lionel Ritchie   would begin a social mission writing and championing his songs for foundations   and humanity. Looking back Milliea now has the most incredible gratitude   towards her co-Publisher friend and her personal Publisher Marsha Brown   reflecting on the reason she now sits behind the desk of her own companies and   giving back to humanity in a positive way as she always dreamed to do and she   says she owes it to Marsha for opening the opportunity to live her dream and   to be all she always dreamed she could be. McKinney, goes on to say had it not   have been for Marsha she would have never had the opportunity to work with   great people like Pat Melfi, the former VP to MCA Records and Five time   promoter of the year not to mention the co-creator and partner to Ken Kragen   who was the creator of We Are The World, Hands Across America, and Live Aid.   Which only goes to show if you can dream it you also can live it if only you   believe.
