Follow on Google News | Stephen Chang of Moss & Associates named chair of U.S. Green Building Council in Miami-DadeStephen Chang, a project manager for Moss & Associates, has been named chair of the U.S. Green Building Council for Miami-Dade.
By: Moss & Associates Mr. Chang, a five-year veteran of Moss, has managed complex educational, residential and health care projects, most recently the $72.4-million University of Miami Biomedical Research Building and the $68.4-million University of Miami Parking Garage, Central Energy Plant and Chilled Water Loop. He is currently working on the new University of Miami Student Activity Center and the University of Miami Hecht Athletic Center. The USBG is a non-profit trade organization that promotes sustainability in building design, construction and operation. The organization has developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building rating system, which has been embraced by the industry. Mr. Chang is a LEED-Accredited Professional. Based in Fort Lauderdale, Moss & Associates is a privately-held construction company ranked among the nation’s top 100 building contractors, with annual revenues topping $649 million. Moss has promoted green building in its construction and in the education and professional advancement of its executives and staff, 24 of whom are LEED-Accredited. Mr. Chang received his B.S. in Design, Construction and Planning and his A.A. in Engineering from the University of Florida. He is a member of the City of Miami Green Building Commission. He lives in Pembroke Pines. With offices in Miami, Tampa, Clearwater, Ocala and Greenville SC, Moss provides design-build, general construction, construction management and reconstruction consulting services throughout the United States, The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
