Northeast's Largest Mobile Detailing Company Opens New Westport, CT Location

Aug. 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Westport, CT - Topside Detailing, LLC, the Northeast’s largest mobile detailing operation, is teaming up with Westport’s renowned Imported and Performance Motors (IPM) of 612 Riverside Avenue to offer more of their convenient auto detailing services.  Starting August 15, 2011 Westport commuters and residents can now take advantage of Topsides’ team of experts at this new convenient location, providing everything from weekly washes to full service wax and detail jobs.

“This new site right next to the Westport train station serves as a great base location to allow clients to take advantage of our convenient on-site auto detail and car wash services while they make their commute into the city,” says Parth Thaker, 25, Topside’s co-owner.  “We offer an easy pick-up/drop-off service for commuters.”

Hours at the new location are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.  Early drop-off (early bird) and late pick-up (night owl) options are also available.  

Thaker and his business partner Jonathan Piazza-Harper, 25, launched Topside on a part-time basis in 2007, while undergrads at the University of Connecticut. After graduating in 2009, the two took the operation full-time.  Thanks to entrepreneurial savvy and a strong pro-environment focus in a difficult economy, their pioneering young start-up quickly met with success.  One of the company’s plusses is their use of Topside E-Z Wash, a unique, waterless, spray-on wash formula that saves over 100 gallons of water per car wash and leaves no mess behind.

“Our waterless car wash allows us to detail any vehicle using less than a quart of water,” says Piazza-Harper.  In the first half of 2011 alone Topside saved 2 million gallons of water throughout their operations.

Today Topside runs 5 full-service mobile detailing units and 3 conveniently located express detailing shops for autos, cycles, RVs and marinas servicing customers from Westchester and Fairfield Counties to Massachusetts.  They are now also the largest mobile detailing operation in the Northeast with operations in CT, NY and MA and a staff of 16 employees.
