ISACA /BCI - Open Minds Panel Discussion - July 27th

Aug. 11, 2011 - PRLog -- An Incident Management forum was held in the Canadian University, Dubai to discuss the way in which companies can prepare and manage crises.  A large audience attended demonstrating the business interest in the subject.  The speakers included James Royds FBCI, Director of Consulting at Steelhenge Consulting, Dr Rama Subramanian, Bill Ogilvie MBCI, a Business Continuity Specialist at Steelhenge and Nalin Wijetilleke.

James Royds said “ this was a timely and interactive and event at which members of ISACA, Steelhenge and the BCI discussed their approaches and methods for dealing with incidents and crises. Speakers from both organisations offered guidance to small and medium sized businesses represented in the enthusiastic audience to help them improve their planning for, responding to and recovering from a growing range of crisis and disaster scenarios – in particular information security breaches, now that hacking information systems is so widespread and cyber risk is a major issue”.
 
Bill Ogilvie commented” It was interesting to meet members from both ISACA and the BCI from Dubai. The topic of Incident Management proved to be something that everyone had a keen interest in and there was some very interesting debate on areas covering culture, insurance, cyber terrorism, plan content, exercising and training. Most attendees said that the session had given them food for thought.  It was good to be able to offer everyone the benefit of Steelhenge’s experience as a leading consultancy in crisis management and business continuity.”
