Political Commentator Malcolm Out Loud Discusses How America Became Bankrupt

(Tampa, FL) - Nationally known News and Political Commentator Malcolm Out Loud who has appeared on CNN Radio, America's Radio News Network speaks out about the U.S. Debt Ceiling crisis explaining the trouble isn't over and our leadership is weak on one of our most important issues Americans face today.

In a late night decision the Congress and Senate agreed upon a compromise to avoid a default on our debt.

The deficit-reduction side includes $1 trillion in cuts now, $1.5 trillion (or more) in deficit reduction later, and a vote on a balanced budget amendment. It also raises the debt ceiling by $900 billion immediately, and either $1.5 trillion (if the second deficit reduction package or a balanced budget amendment passes) or $1.2 trillion (if neither pass) later. The Treasury will have plenty of borrowing authority to get to 2013.

Malcolm Out Loud has many voiced opinions about this debate and the outcome and what it has done for America as expressed by these quotes:

"The debt ceiling crisis has shaken the foundation of the American dream. People are now beginning to understand the seriousness of the situation that government has created. There is a critical mass of frustration out there. What we have been doing is not working, it is time for a change."

"The philosophy of tax more and spend more is troubling for most Americans. Yet many people have their hands out for the latest government program or special interest handout. The new bill didn't touch cutting the Bush Tax Cuts, but there are thousands of loop holes in our tax codes and backdoor legislature that President Obama can easily exploit and raise taxes anyway. We are not safe from increased taxes coming our way" says Malcolm out Loud.

"In 2006 during our last debt ceiling debate then Senator Obama made a statement being completely against raising the debt ceiling, saying we need to stop spending to stop burdening our kids and grandchildren. How does a politician make such a grand statement and then turn around and ask for exactly what he vehemently opposed?"

"This entire debate has been counterproductive and shows poor leadership within our Government. The world has watched us battle with our debt, and we look weak. "

"The Treasury will have plenty of borrowing authority to get us to 2013, and the threat of another debt ceiling showdown has been lifted from Obama's shoulders as he seeks reelection in 2012 and that is exactly what he wanted. It's called politics."

As America moves on we need to find better solutions, serious spending cuts and be more responsible with America's money or we will continue down the path of business as usual.
