Holiday Magic CD Program Benefits Hospitalized Children in 15 U.S. Markets and Singapore

SAN DIEGO, July 11, 2011 – Children’s Holiday Magic Project (CHMP) & GelderHead Audio Productions announces the opening for the submission of recorded songs and stories to complete the 9th edition of Holiday Magic, a Gift for Children of all Ages, 2011, a CD featuring music and a holiday tale that will be distributed to sick kids and their siblings at children’s hospitals during the Holiday Season.

Those wishing to submit their high-quality recordings of songs or stories with a Holiday theme are encouraged to be creative with original or existing material to help make the children’s time in the hospital during the Holidays a brighter experience. The CD has an original Holiday tale and interwoven are songs and stories in several languages including English, Spanish, Italian and Cantonese, submitted by those in the voiceover and music communities. Past talent has included Broadway actress and singer Ashley Fox-Linton, (Del Mar, CA) renowned Hollywood voice-over talent, Marc Graue, award-winning actress and singer Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura-Star Trek) and her actress sister Marian Michaels, Sam Bass of KyXy 96.5fm (San Diego), plus many more.

Jeff Gelder, owner of GelderHead Productions and volunteer Board of Directors distributed 3,000 CDs to twenty-eight hospitals in 2010 and hope to increase that number to 5,000 for 2011. Jeff and his volunteers ‘play Santa’ annually at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego by delivering cd’s to its sick patients room to room.
The first Holiday Magic CD was produced in 2003 when Gelder was tasked to come up with a project for a Landmark Education class that would enhance the community and ultimately take on a life of its own. That’s exactly what has happened. “We have requests from hospitals around the country and we field inquiries about the CD all year long,” remarked Gelder.

Donations are accepted throughout the year, checks of any denomination can be made payable to Holiday Magic CD (memo line: Children’s Hospital CD Fund) and sent to P.O. Box 3386, San Diego, CA 92163-3386. Paypal donations are also accepted at www.HolidayMagicCD.org
