iWatchLife releases Android™ application

Aug. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- Ottawa, ON/San Francisco, CA, August 04, 2011 – iWatchLife, developers of a smart video monitoring system that combines better event detection to reduce false alerts and lower-bandwidth security camera software, has released an Android application. The application, currently available in the Android Market, lets users access their live camera views, detected events and recorded video.  Users can also take live camera snapshots, record video and access shared camera views from any Android device.

iWatchLife’s Android app allows first-time users access to a demo account that shows select live camera views and the associated events detected for those cameras.  If the user wants to try iWatchLife with his or her own webcam, iWatchLife can be installed on a desktop or laptop PC allowing access to the advanced features of iWatchLife’s Plus service with no obligation for 30 days.  

iWatchLife on average requires less than 3 minutes for set up and works with any webcam as well as with two models of Axis™ IP camera available directly from iWatchLife.  iWatchLife’s IP cameras have wireless capability for added convenience.

Live Viewing – watch the webcam or IP camera live feeds and live feeds of any shared cameras.

Live Snapshot and Recording – take on-demand snapshots and video of live camera feeds.

Event Viewing and Recording – view a list of detected events and the recorded video of events.
