Homeless Coach Bridges Social and Digital Divides at Bond's Outdoor Movie Night

Bond’s Outdoor Movie Night will benefit the newly updated Homeless Coach as it continues its “Heroes’ Journey” uniting the Austin and web communities around a new live, interactive social networking approach to reverse homelessness.

Aug. 4, 2011 - PRLog -- The Coach reverses homelessness by arranging for a homeless individual & community members to share original local food & fun inside the transformed RV, helping the homeless to reestablish positive ties with the community and create a sustainable plan.

The one-of-a-kind, green-high-tech RV has been converted by over 200 volunteers and 85 local businesses. Depending on your perspective, its roof-top shell is reminiscent of Austin icons such as the 360 Pennybacker Bridge and an Armadillo.

And, what would such an event be without a movie starring Austin’s sweetheart Sandra Bullock and a great family/community story of a hero’s journey out of homelessness – The Blind Side.

While it lasts, free hot dogs, drinks and pop-corn will be served courtesy of local original Anthony’s Laundry & Dry Cleaning.

“The Homeless Coach has bridged digital and social divides among the poorest of the poor and the well off in our community.” –Tom Baum, founder
