-- Got plans on Sunday, September 11, 2011? Please join us to make a difference in the community. Brentwood Missouri's Memorial Park from 1-3pm. All ages and abilities are welcome for a one mile family walk, park clean-up and tree dedication. We are calling on St. Louis area students and families to join us in a day of service. With the City of Brentwood, the Brentwood Police & Fire Department, and the Mid-County YMCA with generous support from Generation On, we are organizing a family-friendly service project. This project will honor, mark and remember the 10th year anniversary of September 11th. We are planning a one mile family walk, park & creek clean-up and will plant a tree with a plaque to honor those that died on 9/11. We will also create a temporary memorial at the park with 2985 flag, to signify the casualties from the attack. Snacks are provided by Whole Foods, Companion Bread and Einstein Bagels. September 11, 2011 will be our nation's largest day of volunteer service. Bring your family and friends! You can register online for at the United Way's St Louis website for this project at: http://www.stl.unitedway.org/getinvolved/volunteercenter/...
