Prior to founding Wiersma and Associates, he was a director in a Fortune 200 company and was a board member and president of a privately held technology company focused on emerging markets. Wiersma's consulting work includes the Fortune 1000 and the professional services sector. In addition, he has proven to be a popular speaker at leading universities and professional associations.

Wiersma holds an M.A. in Management and Organizational Development from John F. Kennedy University. He is known as a gifted workshop leader.
