NetGain Technologies and the Summer Youth employment program teaching valuable lessons

Aug. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- LEXINGTON, KY (August 2, 2011) – NetGain Technologies has been a leading IT provider in the Lexington area for over 27 years. However, NetGain has provided more than just IT help to the Lexington community; they have provided some Lexington students with important life lessons for their future.

One such resident is Charna Coleman, a 17-year-old high school student who has worked as a summer intern at NetGain Technologies for three years through the Summer Youth Employment Program.

“She has generally exceeded all expectations in terms of work performance,” said Bret Anderson, vice president of marketing and development at NetGain Technologies, “I want her to be able to take away not only job skills, but also some real-life financial knowledge for her future.”

With the knowledge Charna has gained since working with NetGain Technologies, she says she plans to open up a savings account when she gets paid to begin saving her money if she wants to retire at a young age.

“I wish I had had drilled into me at as young age,” Anderson said. “A savings account is a nice starting point toward building positive financial behaviors while you are young.”

Charna hopes to attend college and has become interested in a career in marketing since working with NetGain Technologies.

“I am taking classes that will help ultimately lead to that for me,” said Charna.
