Aug. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Pop band Steal the Scenery are slated for an exclusive new single release “Monster” from their upcoming album The Art of Breaking Hearts. The release will run August 5-12, 2011 on Substream Magazine’s online site (view here http://www.substreammusicpress.com).

“We wanted to record something that is unheard of and no one else is doing”, says lead singer Bobby Frausto. “Something that will create a new breed of listener who likes the underground hardcore scene, but feels uncomfortable listening and dancing to a pop song and a listener who likes pop, but can get into this style without leaving their pop roots”. The single and album will feature a new style of music that is the band has coined “Dub Pop Rock”.

The new album, Art of Breaking Hearts, was produced by Jaime Preciado. This was Preciado’s second time producing for the band. Scheduling for recording was a little difficult for Jaime with the full schedule of his own band, Pierce the Veil.

This new style is something that the band has been passionate about for the last six months while recording and keeping very focused about. “Recording has not been easy”, says band member Joey Agustin. “There are no examples of other artists that are doing the same thing as we are doing. We had to create everything from scratch and use equipment that takes longer than just picking up a guitar”.

The band picked Substream Magazine’s online webzine to showcase their new song exclusively. “We are proud Steal the Scenery chose us to release their new song “, says owner Jason McMahon. The single will air for one week before being made available on itunes and the band’s other social sites such as Facebook, Purevolume, Myspace and ReverbNation.
